ABOUT SENIORNET SOUTH

Seniornet South is one of some 60 Seniornet learning centers in New Zealand and is a member of the New Zealand Federation of Seniornet. Click Here for more information. Our aim is to encourage and enable people over the age of 40 to become familiar with the use of computers and technology in their lives.
Workshops and classes are held on a regular basis where students learn using either their own devices or one of the centers computers. In these classes students learn at their own pace in a non competitive environment, with tutor assistance. Online classes are also becoming available through the national program of Google hangouts.
While there is an annual charge made for membership and class attendance these are kept as low as possible to defray operating expenses. Tutors at Seniornet South are volunteers who give freely of their time to assist others and individuals do not gain any financial benefit.
