ABOUT SENIORNET SOUTH
Seniornet South is one of some 60 Seniornet learning centres in New Zealand and is a member of the New Zealand Federation of Seniornet. Click Here for more information. We aim to encourage and enable people over the age of 40 to become familiar with the use of computers and technology in their lives.
Workshops and classes are held regularly, where students learn to use either their own devices or one of the center's computers. In these classes, students learn at their own pace in a non-competitive environment with tutor assistance. Online classes are also becoming available through the national program of Google Hangouts.
While there is an annual charge made for membership class attendance is currently free. Charges are kept as low as possible, while still defraying operating expenses. Tutors at Seniornet South are VOLUNTEERS who give freely of their time, to assist others and individuals and do not gain any financial benefit.
